The role of apiculture in ecological farming. Our Institute has recognized achievements in developing apiculture and domestication of wild insect pollinators as an important chain in ecological farming. During the past years artificial insemination of bee queens has been developed to maximise the yields of honey and to obtain bee resistant to Varroa. The investigation on pollination and nectar production in entomophilous plants gave a large knowledge for organizing plant communities according to ecological policy.
